Avsoft’s PBN- RNP Course is based on the Required Navigation Performance (RNP) navigation specification of the ICAO Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) concept, which is a key component of the FAA’s NextGen Initiative.
Learning objectives include:
- PBN concept, definitions, and terminology
- RNP and RNAV specifications, including B-RNAV and P-RNAV
- RNP equipment requirements and training requirements
- ARINC 424 navigation database record specifications
- GNSS including ABAS, GBAS, RAIM, and SBAS
- RNP approach- characteristics, requirements, and limitations
- LNAV, LP, LNAV/VNAV, and LPV
- Continuous Descent Final Approach (CDFA)
- RNP APCH and RNP AR APCH approach plates
- Preflight, approach, and missed approach procedures
- Communication with ATC
Each module concludes with a test, and when all the modular tests are successfully completed, a certificate of completion is generated.
Customers also have the option of creating a final exam.
